Alzheimer’s Society support groups
Cheltenham Memory Lane Café is a social group and creative session for older people and those living with dementia. It meets on the first Thursday of every month 10.30am to midday at the Wilson Art Gallery and Museum. There is no need to book, just pop in for a chat and some creativity with a cuppa.
Mindsong is a Gloucestershire charity reaching people with dementia through music and song. Mindsong’s singing groups, courses and music therapy sessions offer hope, inspire joy, unlock memories, enhance quality of life, and enable participants and their families to live well.
Singin for the Brain is a singing group where you can meet new people in a friendly, fun and social environment. Singing can improve your brain activity, wellbeing, and mood. You don’t need to be a good singer to benefit. The froup is hosted by skilled, compassionate, and experienced group leaders. This is held at the Shurdington Social Centre, Bishops Road, GL51 4TB fortnightly on a Wednesday between 2.00 to 3:30pm Call 07784 298689 for more details.
